Self-Testing Strategies for HIV Testing and PrEP Access: A Strategy to Improve Access to HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and STI Testing

Part 4 of the 4 part webinar series “Self-Testing Strategies for HIV Testing and PrEP Access” by the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD). The series focuses on two self-testing implementation routes: 1) outsourcing self-testing to a commercial vendor, and 2) delivering services through a current public health infrastructure, including CBOs and state public health labs. This webinar highlighted a toolkit developed by NASTAD in collaboration with the Association for Public Health Laboratories (APHL) to support health departments implementing self-testing strategies. The webinar also featured policy and technologic aspects and operational issues that health departments should consider in evaluating self-testing strategies in the context of their prevention and linkage programs.
